The Crowne Plaza Resort & Golf Club owns and operates the historic Lake Placid Club. Set against the splendor of the High Peaks, the award winning Club is the only 45 hole golf club in the Adirondacks.

Our Links Course was designed in 1909 by renowned Scottish architect Seymour Dunn. Measuring 7,006 yards from the championship tees, this par 71 course represents Scottish Links style golf at its best with bunker-laden fairways, native fescue, and large undulating greens.

Our Mountain Course was laid out in 1910 by Alexander Findlay, and redesigned in 1931 by Alister MacKenzie, whose designs include Cypress Point and Augusta National, home of the Master's. Measuring 6,294 yards with smaller greens and more tree-lined fairways, this course begs for the straight shot. The engaging design takes full advantage of the scenic vistas and will appeal to players of all levels.

Our Pristine Nine measuring 1,519 yards winds up the trio of courses, offering a little slice of golf heaven with seven par 3's and two par 4's. It is as wonderful for the beginner as for the accomplished player who wishes to hone his short iron game.

The Club has been proud to host many dignitaries in its hundred-year history. President Clinton enjoyed a round of golf on our Links Course during a weekend retreat. The Club is located a half mile from the hotel.

As a blanket of white settles over the landscape, a new season of magic is upon us, and in true Adirondack fashion we choose to embrace this special time of year with all it has to offer. Many eastern resorts focus soley on skiing, but the activities in and around the Lake Placid area go far beyound... ice skating, bobsled and luge rides, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and dog sled rides are just a few of the favorites Lake Placid has become known for.

So when the snow starts to fly, head for the mountains and rediscover what enjoying winter is all about!
